Hello, my name is Hannah and I’m a coffee addict. I love the smell, the taste, and those occasional caffeine jitters. But, I have to come clean about something. Even though my love affair with coffee is strong, I can be picky about the coffees I choose to drink. No two batches of beans are roasted the same and the evidence is in the flavor. For some people, this isn’t an issue. For the rest of us, well, we want more. If that describes you, or if you’re just looking to expand your coffee options, I’m sharing some of my personal favorites on the blog today.
1) Gold Stripe Coffee Roasters
If there’s one thing you can expect from Gold Stripe, it’s quality coffee. From running their own roastery to serving the Lubbock, Texas area with a mobile coffee bar and two shop locations, this family-owned business is one to write home about. Get yourself a bag today and it will be love at first sip.
Since the opening of the first Lavazza store in San Tommaso, Turin in 1895, this coffee brand has earned its status as Italy’s favorite espresso. I first tried Lavazza while living in Italy in 2012 and I’ve been hooked ever since. Bold and flavourful, this is the perfect coffee to reach for when starting your day or when you need an afternoon boost.
3) Cameron’s Coffee
Roasted in the heart of Shakopee, Minnesota, Cameron’s Coffee guarantees specialty coffee shop taste that you can enjoy right at home. Each batch is carefully roasted to ensure full-flavor without the bitterness. I also appreciate that their coffee is gluten-free, which makes it much easier on those of us with fickle food sensitivities.
4) Dear Green
What is Dear Green all about? Coffee, of course! This Glasgow-based roaster offers quality ethically sourced coffee, community support through local events, accredited Barista Skills and Sensory Skills training, and so much more. Supporting a company so passionate about what they do makes every cup brewed with their specialty blends taste even sweeter.
5) Palace Coffee Company
With four cafe locations and specialty roasted blends, Palace Coffee is a Texas Panhandle treasure. The company is also community-minded, focusing its efforts on nurturing relationships and giving back as best it can. Their coffee can be purchased in-store, individually, or wholesale.
